Gina's 'Christmas Day' Dip
I am braving the icy cold waters of Felixstowe on Christmas Day in memory of my Darling Dad, Geoff Southam, who lost his short battle with Leukaemia in March 2009. When Dad was diagnosed it quickly went to terminal and he lasted only 8 weeks.
Every day it brings it home to me the sadness families entail through this cruel illness and my raising money is to hopefully prevent others having to go through the same as I did with Dad.
Nobody should have to witness a Parent / Child / Relative / Friend etc going through the cruel, devastating end of life. As Dad took is last breath, I held his hand and whispered in his ear 'I love You'. It was the most heart breaking thing I have ever done.
I know a lot of you already give to Charities, but please can I ask you to spare anything you can, so as I can look up to heaven and say to Dad on Christmas Day 'this is in memory of you'
Thank you for reading this, it means a lot to me.
